When healthy eating stops feeling healthy

Orthorexia isn't in the DSM yet, but clinicians see it every day. It's the eating pattern where 'wellness' has quietly become a cage, where a meal off-plan produces real anxiety, and social eating disappears.

The tell: it's not about weight, it's about purity. A green juice feels moral. A birthday cake feels like a failure.

Recovery looks like reintroducing 'imperfect' foods, softening the rules, and remembering that food is meant to nourish a whole life, not become the whole life.
